“Man, I don’t think you guys realize how great it was to finally be able to get rid of some of my pint up energy in a Duel like that!” He was talking to his cards with his deck held out in front of him as he walked; but anyone else around Yuya probably could’ve thought the teen was talking to them instead.
“I mean, that finale was amazing, wasn’t it? There’s no way anything’s around here’s topping that for awhile!”
“Not bad.” Saeka spoke with a smile. “It’s nice to see what other schools have to offer.”
She was happy to see Yuya’s last duel, and it was nice to get a chance to talk to him. It might have been a little odd he was talking to his cards, but most duelists had their quirks, so she wasn’t going to judge him too much on it. Besides, odd or not, it didn’t seem to hurt his dueling ability.
“And why would I need to be friends with some random no name like you?” She snapped, her nose wrinkling in distaste at the suggestion. “Who even are you to suggest someone like me associate myself with someone like you?”
Saeka backed up a little, but didn’t look discouraged. “Isn’t that a little rude to someone trying to be nice to you? Also, no name? I think I’ve been doing better than no name. I’m Saeka Ashiya, and a couple years your senior. Though, I guess I can admit you have me beat in terms of fusion summoning. At least for now.”
Saeka, as per usual, didn’t stop to think about how cocky she sounded, but then again, she probably didn’t care. Though, she probably should have if she wanted to be friends with this girl.
“I know you’ve been feeling down lately, so I thought I’d keep you company for a while.” “Do you wanna talk about it or should we just snuggle?” “Listen… I’m here for you.” “Hey, guess who loves you? It’s me!” “I love you more than I love [favourite thing].” “I could hug you all day.” “Nobody fucks with my friends. Except me. But that’s different.” “Hey, I bought you something.” “Hey, I made you something.” “You did this for me? Thankyou!” “You’re my friend, I’m not going to leave you.” “I’m not just here for good days. I’m here for the bad ones, too.” “They don’t like you because they don’t know you like I do.” “Don’t worry about it, I’ll take care of it.” “You’re my favourite person.” “Have I ever told you how great you are?” “Do you want to do something together? To take your mind off of it?” “Look, even my parents love you. You’re amazing.” “I’m freezing, hold me.”
